Last week, a consortium of universities, professional associations and companies jointly submitted an application for funding under the Horizon Europe programme, in the Widera ERA talents call. The call is addressed to Partnerships from Widening countries, and ERA talents is dedicated primarily to the development of talents in the European Research Area.
Researchers from PTIR together with Partners submitted a project proposal called „Building Research Excellence and Innovation Capacity in Widera Agriculture for the Twin (Green and Digital) Transition” acronym „AGReeD”. The project aims to strengthen cooperation between Partners and support the flow of talents between universities and the business sector, especially in the context of solving problems that agriculture faces during the digital and green transition.
We are expecting the call results in the spring of 2025. Meanwhile, the consortium, which includes 11 institutions from 7 EU countries, is already taking action to jointly support agriculture in overcoming challenges. A virtual roundtable discussion will be held on 28th Nov. by one of the Partners. It will strengthen our ongoing cooperation and allow all interested parties to learn about different perspectives on the challenges for agriculture. The roundtable discussion will embrace viewpoints from several European countries and different backgrouds, such as farmers associations, farmers, researchers. More information about this meeting will appear in the News soon.
